Unknown Cemetery, 83-1 Summary Report, page 11

The INDEX TO LANDS for Section 32 shows that the first several transactions treated the entire section, rather than dealing in quarters. The land transitioned from Austin L. Sands to Francis Phillipon (Phillipson?) in 1846, then to Joachin Heydecker in 1847. Four years later (1851), the land is recorded in the name of Richard Jamar, with some portion going to Thomas J. Owen. These two families were closely intermarried, and they maintained possession of the land by one or more members of their families until 1893, when William G. Jamar and others began to mortgage land, including the NE/4 at times, to George M. Harris and others. By 1912, some of it had been sold to George and Lillie (Jamar) Darwin. By 1917, the SW/4, of Section 32 was in the hands of Moses and Beulah Love. Beulah has a tombstone in the Jordan Cemetery, 45-1, in the NASA area of arsenal property. George Darwin married Lillie Jamar in Madison County in 1897.
