The marriage of George Darwin to Lilly Belle Jamar indicates that the land was in fact still remaining in the Jamar family after 1912. Furthermore, a check of the census records shows that George was a son of Sydney S. Darwin, whose wife was Mary Dickson Lanier. Thereby, it is seen that the land was still in the hands of several prominent pioneer families, tied together in George Darwin and his wife.
