vii. Agnes LANIER was born abt 1750 in Brunswick County, Virginia, and died 21 Feb 1813 in Wilkes County, Georgia. She married William DAVIS 29 Aug 1769 in Brunswick County, Virginia. He was born May 1747 in Prince George County, Virginia, and died 14 May 1818 in Wilkes County, Georgia.

He married Ann BUTLER 21 Sep 1778 in Sussex County, Virginia, daughter of Thomas BUTLER and Elizabeth MITCHELL. She was born 1760, and died 1802 in Screven County, Georgia. He married Esther Butts THORNE 26 Aug 1803 in Screven County, Georgia. She was born 17 Mar 1775, and died 10 Oct 1855.

She married Burwell LANIER Oct 1761 in Brunswick County, Virginia, son of Sampson LANIER and Elizabeth CHAMBERLAIN. He was born Aug 1741 in Brunswick County, Virginia, and died Jan 1812 in Anson County, North Carolina.
The census records inserted below show George Darwin as a child and as head of households in 1920 and in 1930, after his divorce from Lilly Belle Jamar Darwin, sometime between 1920 and 1930. His occupation was “Tax Assessor”, and in 1930 he was shown as married to a much younger woman, Maggie, a “Clerk in (the) Tax Assessor's Office”. Meanwhile, his first wife, Lilly Jamar Darwin, was shown as “Divorced”, living in a household headed by a sister-in-law who was a widow and working as a “City Librarian”.
