Woodward, 11/22/1882 in Madison County, Alabama. It is not known how she could be the daughter of a Mr. LOGAN. However, if the census taker made a mistake and showed the relationship to her mother, rather than to the head of the household, then she may have gotten the Bell surname from an earlier marriage of her mother. Yet, the Madison County Marriage Records show that Abner L. Logan married M. S. Campbell on 12/9/1850 - BEFORE Sallie was born. Maybe Sallie was an adopted orphan by the name of Bell. This census entry is for the only Sallie or Sarah Bell anywhere near the right age, born in 1863 per the 1900 census, to be John W. Woodward's wife.)
