Felix and Georgia Lacy Lanier in 2005
Felix Lanier and Georgia Lacy were married in 1941; they have now been married for 65 years. The researcher conducted an initial interview with them five years ago (2000). In 2005, she made a number of visits to their home. The interaction was warm and comfortable. Georgia provided a copy of the Lacy-Fisher family tree (see page 176).
Felix Lanier (Born February 16, 1915)
The Family of Felix Lanier. Felix Lanier grew up in Mullins Flat. He is the son of Willie Lanier (born 1883, died at age 69) and Mary McCrary (born about 1880). His paternal grandmother was Mandy Lanier. She was the second wife of James P. Burns, with whom she had a daughter, Ophelia (see Charles Burns interview.) His maternal
