In the C&eiphell Church Cemetery (colored), it waa found that a
great deal of uncertainty, time, and expense would be involved in the
effort to definitely identify all graves. The church agreed to accept
responsibility for the relocation of all these graves without trying to
identify each separate grave, and authorised the Chair^fm of the Board
of Deacons to sign the legal permits and accept responsibility for the
relocations
Contracts were executed for 57 graves to regain in their
original sites, and for 185 graves to be relocated above the pool level*
