Baptized into Christ, Obedient to Parents: Mindful of His Prayers; speaking the truth always; He was a Christian as became his years. They who mourn them do humbly trust that their purified spirits rest together with Christ and where He is. John Read born in Bedford Co., Va. the 21st of July 1784 - died in Huntsville the 9th of March 1861.
