Austin's wife was not named in the mortgage instrument, but she was shown in the 1880 census image given below. Her name has already been shown to be “Parilia” in the 1880 census data of the Family History Resource disks produced by the Latter Day Saints church. While this image is faint, it shows that Austin was born in Alabama, as opposed to the 1870 census record that gave his birthplace as Georgia. Variations of birthplaces for the same person between censuses is not unusual, however. 20 - (2538)
